Our Mission
At Ymylon Gwyllt, we believe the greatest potential often lies where society stops looking. Just like the wind beaten Hawthorn tree - resilient, wild, and thriving in poor conditions - life finds a way to flourish on the wild edges.
We are a Community Interest Company based in, and dedicated to, the people and wildlife of Wales. We create, restore and maintain vital habitats on public and private land - focused especially on the marginal, forgotten, or neglected spaces that often offer the greatest potential for connectivity in the landscape.
We offer meaningful opportunities for individuals, especially those who may find themselves on the edge of society in some way, to get involved. Physical volunteering opportunities, surveying work, training, social events, regular meet ups for likeminded people, and much more.
Our Mission
Habitat Restoration
We restore and create habitat across Wales working with groups of volunteers. From rough ground on the edge of a public playing field to the overstood hedge on a farm.
Our Services & Training
Land Management
Professional, competitive, conservation contracting services from contractors with years of experience. All profits are reinvested into our habitat and community work.
Training and Workshops
Empowering and educating people across Wales. We can offer professional training, informal workshops or talks, or anything in between.
